Questions about selling your copier.
How does selling a copier to you work?
Tell us what you have: the brand and model, where it is and how to reach you. If you can, send a photo of the status page, which shows the model and how many copies the machine has made. We come back with a price in writing. If you accept, we book a collection and you are paid when we collect.
When do I get paid?
You are paid when we collect the machine, not weeks later. The price we send is based on what you tell us, and we check at collection that the machine matches.
Does it cost me anything?
No. Asking for a price is free, and we arrange and pay for collection of the machines we buy.
What is a status page, and how do I get one?
It is a printout or screen that shows the machine's model, serial number and total copy count. On most copiers you press Counter, Meter or Device Status on the touch screen and choose Print list. If you cannot find it, photograph the screen that shows the counter, or the label on the machine that shows the model and serial number, and send that instead.
What if the machine is old, faulty or not working?
Tell us anyway. Some machines still have value as working stock or for parts, and some do not. We will tell you honestly which it is.
Can I sell a machine that is on lease or rental?
Only if you own it. A machine that is still under a lease, rental or managed print contract belongs to the finance or service company until it is paid out or bought out. If you are not sure who owns it, check your agreement or ask your provider before you send it to us. We will ask you on the form.
What about the data on the machine?
Many copiers keep scans, address books and job history on an internal drive. Tell us if the machine has been used for sensitive documents. We clear stored data from the machines we collect.
Do you buy more than one machine at a time?
Yes, and bigger lots are welcome. Schools, councils, offices closing down and businesses at the end of a contract often have several machines. List them in one enquiry, and attach a spreadsheet if you have one.
Where do you buy?
We are based in South East Queensland and buy along the east coast of Australia, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, regional Queensland, northern New South Wales, Sydney and Melbourne. See the where we buy page for the towns. If you are somewhere else on the coast, ask us.
What kinds of machines do you buy?
A3 commercial office copiers, colour and mono, from Toshiba, Kyocera, Ricoh, Lanier, Canon, Konica Minolta, HP, Fujifilm and Fuji Xerox. If you have another brand or a production machine, ask us. We do not buy A4 or desktop machines.
