How to find your copier's copy count and serial number
To price a used copier, a buyer needs three things: the model, the serial number and the total copy count. They are usually all on one page.
The easy way: print a status page
On most copiers you press Counter, Meter or Device Status on the touch screen, then choose Print list. The page that comes out shows the model, the serial number and the total copy count. Photograph it.
The names of the buttons are different on different brands. If you cannot find it, use one of the options below.
If you cannot print one: photograph the screen
Most machines show the counter on the touch screen. Photograph the screen that shows the total count, and the screen that shows the model if it is different.
If there is no screen: photograph the label
The serial number and model are on a label on the machine, usually on the back or inside a door or panel. Photograph the label.
Which number do we want?
The total count. Machines often show several counters, such as black and white, colour and large size. If you can send a photo that shows all of them, that is best. If you only know the total, send the total.
Then send it to us
Send the photos with the town the machine is in, and we come back with a price in writing. Get my price.
